Niyantri Ravindran, Ph.D.

Niyantri Ravindran is a graduate research assistant at the University of Illinois. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota as well as a Master’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Illinois, where she is currently earning her doctoral degree. Her research focuses on parent emotionality and emotion regulation during challenging interactions with children and how these interactions shape children’s socioemotional development. She is also interested in developing and testing interventions to promote positive family interactions. She helped to develop and implement the online More Fun With Sisters and Brothers Program for parents.
